RJ’s Two Cents - How AJ Styles Presumably Signing with WWE Affects WrestleMania XXXII

The WWE made huge buzz today with reports stating the WWE has signed or has been negotiating with New Japan Pro Wrestling stars, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles. Gallows has worked for WWE before as Festus, and Luke Gallows but I haven’t seen either of Nakamura or Anderson’s work. When it comes to AJ Styles I have been a fan of his since I started watching TNA back in 2005. I wasn’t an avid fan or viewer of TNA Impact but if I did watch it was strictly for the “phenomenal one” AJ Styles.

The WWE needs the star power to help sell out AT&T Stadium for WrestleMania XXXII. The Rock's role is unknown so he may not be competing. If not it will probably be HHH vs. Reigns. The status of Undertaker is unknown as well. The rumor of Undertaker vs. Cena has been tossed around but I think they are looking to do Undertaker vs. Sting. If they do then Cena will not have a dance partner for the show of shows. The WWE needs to utilize AJ Styles to his full potential and I think the WWE may pair him up with HHH and the Authority if he debuts at the Royal Rumble. The WWE could capitalize with Styles winning the Royal Rumble and being the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Aligning him with the Authority would be gold and set up Styles vs. Cena at WrestleMania XXXII.

At Fastlane, a singles match for the #1 contendership with John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar. Kevin Owens interferes and costs Lesnar the match while in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Styles and Reigns, HHH costs Reigns the win. Imagine the WrestleMania XXXII card with these predictions.

  • Styles vs. Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
  • Owens vs. Lesnar
  • Undertaker vs. Sting
  • HHH vs. Reigns
  • Ambrose vs. Jericho for the Intercontinental Championship

These 5 matches would be amazing and could put 100,000 people in the stadium. The WWE may not thrust Styles right into the main event but with his star power and appeal the WWE would be dumb not to. I don’t know what they do with Nakamura, Gallows or Anderson but if anything have them help Styles at WrestleMania or debut them the night after. Styles is the biggest draw that isn’t in the WWE so getting him will help “put butts in the seats” at AT&T Stadium. I cant wait to hear “Get Ready to Fly” at the Royal Rumble and if I don’t I will be devastated.
