RJ’s Two Cents - Why a Future Title Shot Should Be at Stake in Six-Woman Tag Match at WWE SummerSlam 2016

Since SmackDown Live aired last month the WWE has done a great job featuring their six women wrestlers. Each week, at least four of them have been on the show and have been utilized well. This week was great with Naomi debuting a new look and a good tag team match between Becky Lynch & Carmella vs. Alexa Bliss & Natalya.

This division has been interesting but eventually they need to be fighting for a purpose. They can’t just keep having weekly matches just for pride. At SummerSlam, it should be announced that the winning team will face off on August 22nd SmackDown for the newly created WWE Women’s Title. Hell, I would even be down for a tag team title but they need more woman to make that effective.

​If I was booking this I would have Becky, Carmella & Naomi win on Sunday. Naomi post-match turns heel even though she didn’t really turn face again. Naomi had a good run as a heel and should be featured as a top heel. On Tuesday, I would have Becky “Balboa” Lynch win the Triple Threat match to become the new champion.

​Becky was the first woman selected to SmackDown Live and she has broken out as a big fan favorite as a babyface. Becky being the face of woman’s wrestling on SmackDown would be a great alternative from Sasha Banks on Raw.

​I am always biased towards the Irish Lasskicker but after getting organically over and having great matches throughout 2016 she deserves to be rewarded.
