By RJ Marceau (Senior Diva Columnist) Since November, Becky Lynch has been wrestling for the Divas title and has been in perfect chase mode. She has beaten Charlotte and has only lost in the past few months by being distracted by Ric Flair, Naomi or Team B.A.D. in general. The story of Becky winning at WrestleMania makes itself. She has been cheated by Ric Flair and members of Team B.A.D., which has cost her numerous matches. The story of her trumping those odds and winning the Divas title on the biggest stage of them all is stronger then Sasha beating Charlotte to win the belt with no backstory. Sasha realistically should have been the one to defeat Nikki Bella but since they did the whole faction wars she was lost in the Team B.A.D. saga when she was the most over woman on the roster. The WWE missed the peak of her popularity so far on the main roster and on Raw/SmackDown this week proved that with a split 50/50 chant of “Lets go Becky” and “Lets go Sasha”. Becky was an afterthought in the whole “Divas Revolution” while Sasha and Charlotte got the spotlight. She has been able to get over with the crowd and has been in chase mode for the Divas Title since November. I felt like the story would end at the Royal Rumble with Becky overcoming Ric Flair’s interference to win the Divas title. Unfortunately Ric interfered and Becky lost again. People can say Becky has had her chance at the Divas title and it should be Sasha vs. Charlotte. Becky hasn’t lost clean to either Sasha or Charlotte so her credibility is neither woman has beaten her clean. I have said on the record that if anyone can lose and not affect her in the long run would be Sasha Banks. I like Sasha but she has had her chance at the NXT Women’s Championship and is so over with the fans that a loss won’t hurt her. Becky losing again would be similar to Naomi last year when people thought she would get over that hump but fell to Nikki Bella at Extreme Rules and Elimination Chamber. I feel like the WWE realizes the opportunity they have with Becky right now to be a breakout babyface for the Divas division. Besides Brie Bella’s recent turn Becky is the only other credible babyface. I am also not saying Becky should be the next longest Diva’s Champion but making another credible women’s wrestler wouldn’t hurt the company. Another Becky loss and she will be on Superstars and Main Event and will be known as a good wrestler similar to how Naomi is looked as. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte at WrestleMania 32 will be good but I think pulling the trigger on the Irish Lasskicker would be the right move. In my bold predictions, I said the main event of SummerSlam 2016 should be Becky vs. Sasha vs. Charlotte vs. Bayley. Becky could hold the title till then and have either Bayley or Sasha beat her for the title. I won’t be surprised if they overlook her again but with her popularity soaring it would be dumb to just give Sasha the belt when the story is in Becky overcoming the odds. Some really good points there. She definitely could be a major breakthrough babyface for the company and the other thing to consider is at the moment, will she get any better in the future than she currently is, so the timing would make sense as well. The diva's division is really strong at the moment, wouldn't be surprised to see Sasha Banks become champion either in this type of match and Becky Lynch could be one of those diva's that goes on a massive chase for the title. Maybe a loss wouldn't hurt Becky Lynch either and she keeps believing in herself and her ability and rises up again in the future, looking to beat Sasha Banks.

Couldn't edit the comment but the match at Wrestlemania is very hard to call. if Charlotte wins, one would think some diva from the past would need to reappear and try and stop Charlotte and Ric Flair.
