Since his debut, I have been a big advocate of Braun Strowman. I even wrote an article last year that people needed to give Braun Strowman a chance to become his own character. Since the Brand Extension he is one of the best utilized talents on the main roster. They gave his look a small tweak and ran with his moniker of the “Mountain Amongst Men” aura.
His build was ideal. He went from squashing jobbers, into the 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match, his feud with Sami Zayn, into the Royal Rumble and now Roman Reigns. Strowman has been a true monster heel and to me has been the best part of Monday Night Raw.
The issue with Strawman’s build is that it seems like he will be in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal which would be cool if he won but he has been a main component on Raw for months so it would be a major letdown. Honestly the only thing I could think of is Finn Balor or AJ Styles. Balor might be far-fetched since he is coming back from injury but a match vs. AJ as an interpromotional match would be cool.
AJ Styles is mad that he can’t get his one-on-one rematch. He says he wants Shane or Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. They both decline but Shane said I will call my sister and see if she has someone without an opponent and if AJ wins he gets his one-on-one rematch at Extreme Rules. AJ says bring it on and out comes Braun Strowman the next week.
I was always a big fan of the interpromotional matches at WrestleMania so I think it would be better than Shane vs. AJ. I will say I won’t be against him winning the Andre the Giant Memorial if he is guaranteed a title match. Strowman has been the main reason I watch Raw weekly and his new persona has made him a must watch on Raw. I don’t see him defeating Roman Reigns at Fastlane but he should be a main focal point at WrestleMania.
