RJ’s Two Cents - Why Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker Is Best for Business

I can say for the first time since Brock Lesnar returned in 2012 I was shocked and excited when Shane McMahon returned on Raw. I didn’t see any reports but I had a feeling when Vince was telling Stephanie why she deserved the award that it would lead to Shane coming out. When Shane came out I think my heart stopped for a second. As I have wrote before Shane McMahon vs. Kane is one of my favorite feuds of all time especially due to Shane’s daredevil mentality. The pop that Shane got from the Detroit crowd was amazing and Shane deserved the recognition. Once the match was proposed I think the whole WWE Universe knew Vince would say The Undertaker. The Hell in a Cell stipulation adds intrigue to the match because if you have seen any Shane match he excels in stipulation matches. Last Man Standing, Ambulance Match, No DQ or Street Fight, Shane is able to entertain.

Shane McMahon is easily the best untrained wrestler of all time but that isn’t saying much since all his matches involve hardcore/weapon stipulations. Shane is coming back and for a purpose. He wants to gain control of the company that is sinking to ensure that his children and his grandchildren will be able to keep the McMahon family name in the WWE. Vince decided to make Shane’s opponent The Undertaker.

The Undertaker as Vince’s pick seems like he would be a slam dunk to defeat Shane at WrestleMania 32 but I think the man from the back streets of Greenwich, CT has a good shot to win. Winning at WrestleMania he would probably oust the Authority out of power and give the people what they want. It would be exactly what the WWE hasn’t done in the past few years with the Authority being around for almost 3 years.

Shane hasn’t wrestled in seven years but I think the WWE would be wise to air training vignettes or have him wrestle on SmackDown/Raw to prepare for his WrestleMania match. The WWE has the ability to take advantage of Shane McMahon's popularity by coming out with new merchandise and expose his old matches on the WWE Network. Shane will definitely have the support from the fans in Dallas and I think he actually has a chance to win. Shane pulls out all the stops and is able to beat The Undertaker to take over the WWE. The Streak is off the line so it’s not like the Undertaker losing would really affect anything.

Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker is something no one could’ve booked and that is what makes this matchup for the fans. I have seen all of Shane McMahon's greatest matchups and I can assure you that he will entertain you. Shane will put his body on the line and do whatever it takes to defeat The Deadman at WrestleMania 32. The crowd will come unglued when they hear “Here Comes the Money” at WrestleMania 32 especially if he can knock off the Deadman.

In the WWE, fresh feuds are best for business because for fans status quo or overdone feuds are boring. The WWE hit a home run with Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker especially adding the Hell in a Cell stipulation. Could Shane have someone interfere for him or accompany him to ringside? All I know is money talks.
