Why, hello there ladies and gentlemen. Its time for another addition of predictions with StarNinja99! This Pay-Per-View is going to be seen by many as a bit on the weak side, mostly due to the very unfortunate injury of CM Punk, but if you take a careful look at the card, you'll see that it actually has the chance to be a very interesting show. But, I know none of ou are interested in me rambling, you just want your predictions! So, lets jump right into it, shall we? Additional Matches In my mind, I only see one logical extra match, and thats whoever wins the Santa's Helper Battle Royal taking on Eve. Now, I'd prefer this no to happen, so we can get another decent build up for a Diva's title match, but its definatly not a perpoustrous idea. Other than that, I don't see time permitting any othe rmatches. Its a stacked card in the face of the loss of CM Punk, so it should rest on its own merits. Santa's little helper Battle Royal to become Number One Contender for The Diva's Title
Heres the thing about this years annual Diva's Battle Royal, its a tad bit unpredictable. I mean, yes, some Divas are featured on the main image, but there really hasn't been any comformations as of yet as to who will compete. So, the only logical thing you can do is assume who will be in it. Now, the logical course of action would be to assume that Kaitlyn will pull out another Battle Royal win. However, it has not been confirmed, nor denied, if AJ Lee will be competeing in this. If our Resident Crazy Chick is indeed in it, I would guess that she would be your winner, considering sh is the most featured Diva on the roster right now. However, if its just those featureed in the image, one would only assume that Kaitlyn would win, considering her spot as the number one contender hasn't really payed off yet. So, you're winner here will be one of the Chick Busters, in my opinion. Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio Versus Team Rhode Scholars For the Number One Contender Spot for the Tag Team Titles These two teams are highlights of how, if booked correctly, sticking two wrestlers together can, indeed, work. While Sin Cara And Rey Mysterio have not been on TV as much lately, they are still considered by WWE as a force to be reckoned with. Team Rhode Scholars just reunited after Cody Rhodes returned following a an injury on WWE Main Event a few weeks ago, sporting one of the worst 1980s Porno Mustaches I have ever seen. But, I digress. This is perhaps the most obvious winner on the card perhaps, this match is almost a foregone colnclusion, once you add in the factors of Team Hell No basically playing the role of Faces, the lack of TV time for Cara/Mysterio, The continuous build up of Team Rhode Scholars, even with one half of them out for a number of weeks, and the fact that both Cody and amein still do high profile singles matches. Considering all of that, its obvious, to me, at least, that Team Rhode Scholars will win here. Nevertheless, expect a great showing from both teams here, as we have seen in the past. Antonio Cesaro Versus R-Truth for the United States Championship I have no doubt this will be a good match, despite the bland build-up. R-Truth challenged for the belt just last month at Survivor Series, and failed. Theres only one option here, in my mind. The fact is, despite all of Cesaro's atributes, the man has reeked of Del Rio Syndrome since the moment I first watched him back in ROH. He's a man with some superb in ring ability, despite my problems with a few of his moves, but he can not carry a eeud on the microphone. R-Truth, on the other hand, has proved he can be entertaining, just notain the current gimmick his is in. While I do get a chuckle every once in a while at his antics with Little Jimmy, the simple fact of the matter is that he can not be taken seriously as a face with this gimmick. Despite these facts, the fact that they carried this feud two pay-per-views in a row tells me that the belt is going to R-Truth, if only for a bit. Hopefully, WWE will not drop the ball, and will use this title run to re-package Truth as a credible threat again. Kofi Kingston Versus Wade Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship Now I'm divided on this match. To me, it seems like Kofi has picked up the problems he has faced since his de-push in 2009 and has finally found a place where he can rebuild his career. I have always loved Kofi, more for his in-ring skills than his mic ability, and I think taking the Intercontinental championship off him right now would be a mistake. On the other hand, I have become a fan of Wade Barrett in the last year. Similar to Sheamus, in my opinion, Barrett did not have the in-ring skills at first to carry a match when he was in the4 Nexus, but after the split, his ability grew more and more, until his feud with Randy Orton, where, once again, in my opinion, he was getting quite good in the ring. The injury set him back a bit, but he's managed to pick up the peices over the last few months. I still think that Kofi dropping the belt would be a mistake. However, habing Barrett lose when he's still regaining momentum would be an even bigger mistake, so I've got to go with the Bare Knuckle Fighter as the winner in this bout. John Cena Versus Dolph Ziggler in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match God, I hope they go the way they should in this match. Lets face it, Ziggler is in a tough predicament, here. He has worked so hard over the past three fr four years to build himself up as a credible threat, but he's suffered from lack of build since Jericho left. Now, he's in a feud that can be considered "important" again, and is shining through with his character. While the Cena/Aj build is not something I'm a fan of, it has been a means to an end to get Ziggler into this position, a chance to beat John Cena. This match should be good, but my worry is that the WWE will decide they don't want Ziggler in the title picture anymore, and will give John the Breifcase, launching him into the title picutre on the blue brand. What needs to be done here is to have Ziggler when. He needs a high profile victory, and now is the time to do it. So, with a little bit of fear in my heart, I';m going to say Ziggler pulls of the victory, through one diobalical means or another. Big Show versus Sheamus in a Chairs Match For the World Heavyweight Championship Yes, last year we had Mark Henry versus Show in a Chairs match, this year we get Sheamus and Show. Now, I'm honestly not complaining. For Big Men Matches, these matches have been good. Not everyones cup of tea, not really mine either, but I haven't hated them. The first match I actually liked. What I did not like was the most recent weeks build u for the match. Take Smackdown for example. Show suddenly became the Coward heel, and ran away in the face of Sheamus with a chair. Was he not supposed to be a Monster heel? The feud had taken away that mean streak in Show that we saw come out earlier this year, and its terrible timing, because this is Show's best chance for a decent match in quite a number of years. So, heres what I see. I see Sheamus winning here. Lets face it, Show really isn't in a position to be any kind of champion anymore, he can't move anymore. So, Sheamus gets the belt. Then what? Well, it'll depend. With Punk out of TLC, you may see Ziggler and Cena in the main event, as per the Staus Quo. But... what if this match is held after the Cena/Ziggler match? Yes, its a rinse and repeat from last year, but c'mon now, isn't Ziggler cashing in what we all want to see? I suppose it will depend on the card placement, and on if the WWE panics nd gives the Briefcase to Cena. Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan and Kane) and Ryback versus The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns) Ah, what a breath of fresh air this new band called the Shield has been. Kind of like Daniel Bryan and Kane before them, they have reignited my faith in the Blue Brand, with their NWO-esque, but still original vignettes over the Titontron, they have been the most enjoyable part of Smackdwon, to me. But, I digress. A lot of people seem to think that Ryback losing for the third straight Pay-Per-View would completely destroy him, but I'll be honest, I don't see that in the least. At Hell In A Cell, he was about to win, but Brad Maddox ruined that. At Survivor Series, the Shield crushed his Feeding time. Every Pay-Per-View loss can be viewed as him getting screwed, and as long as he successfully manages to get screwed again, there is no momentum loss. Honestly, it just makes his gimmick better, so he has more of a Pay-Off when he finally manages to win. I can not see the Sheild recovering from losing their first match as a unit in the WWE. It would deflat their progress, which has been built quite well, if I do say so myself. So, expect the Sheild as a collective to pull off the win, and continue their figt against injustice in the WWE... from a certainpoint of view. And thats if for my preditcions.
