By Kendall Portis Last night was TNA's pay-per-view "Final Resolution". The show kicked off with "The Cowboy" James Storm cutting a promo when he was interrupted by Kazarian. After comments being made on both ends, a bonus match was made. Next, it was an X-Division Championship Match featuring Champion RVD and challenger Kenny King. I'm not too familiar with Kenny King, but he put on an amazing performance and I am now into him. Both wrestlers exchanged some very devastating kicks to the head and top-rope maneuvers. However, Rob Van Dam was able to walk out champion when he twisted Kenny King into a leg scissors roll-up. I was impressed with the newcomer Kenny King and veteran RVD. Moments later, it was time for the TNA Tag Team Championship Match. Matt Morgan dominated most of this match for his team. Hernandez did challenge him a lot in the beginning of the match. Chavo then landed a Frog Splash on Joey Ryan to end the match. However, Matt Morgan pulled the referee out the ring seconds after the ref's three count. Joey Ryan and Matt Morgan were disqualified. I wasn't at all impressed with the outcome of this match. But one thing that caught my attention was Morgan throwing Chavo Guerrero into the ring post after losing the match. While checking on his partner, Hernandez kept repeating, "This is not over." A match I was looking forward to was Austin Aries vs. Bully Ray . The match began with Bully Ray tossing Aries across the ring and throwing some hard-hitting punches. Two minutes in the match, it began to pick up. Bully Ray dropped some unexpected top-rope moves. Austin Aries, however, brought the big man outside the ring and bloodied him up. I felt the Aries was closing in on punishing Bully Ray when Brooke Hogan came out. She checked on her possible boyfriend when Austin dragged her into the ring and began screaming in her face. Ray then chased Aries out the ring to save and get rid of Brooke. The Hulkster then later came to the ring and escorted his daughter out. While Bully Ray and the referee's attention were at Brooke and Hulk Hogan, Austin Aries capitalized with a low-blow and a quick roll-up. It was a great match, but Brooke continuing their story-line ruined it. TNA Knockouts Championship: Tara vs. Mickie James. It was a better than expected match, but nothing entertaining. Mickie James was in control of the match until Jesse distracted Hardcore Country and took a kick to the torso. Tara then took advantage and landed a Widow's Peak for the win. Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff vs. Aces and 8s. The match really got exciting in the last few minutes. A brawl between the Superstars broke out. Then, in the ring, Kurt Angle got one of the masked members in the Ankle Lock when D.O.C. came out with his hammer. Just in time Wes Brisco took out D.O.C. and Kurt planted the member with the Angle Slam for the victory. It was a great performance by Wes Brisco and a man that excited me was Samoa Joe after losing the TV title to Devon, he was heated. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles. In the last of over 100 matches between the two, neither AJ Styles nor Christopher Daniels didn't disappoint. The match went from inside the ring and outside the ring. It was so intense that AJ Styles ended up bloody. In the end, AJ went for a Styles Clash off the top rope when Daniels reversed and having Styles take much of the fall. I don't think anyone noticed Christopher Daniels landed a Styles Clash of his own to defeat AJ Styles. TNA Heavyweight Championship: Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode. This match was pretty amazing. As a Creature of The Night (Hardy's fanbase), I was on the edge of my seat. Jeff Hardy as always put his body on the line. A crazy moment was when Jeff flew off the steps and over the guard rail when Bobby Roode dodged it. It was a pretty hard fall for the champion but he got back up. Aces and 8s then appeared in the crowd. Roode tried to distract the ref so Aces and 8s can make their move on Hardy, but they refused. Hardy landed a Twist of Fate quickly to retain the Heavyweight Championship. Aces and 8s attacked Jeff Hardy afterwards and also landed a powerbomb on him. Bobby Roode then tried to conversate with the members until they attacked him also. The Aces and 8s stand tall over the body of Bobby Roode to end the show. Overall, I give this pay-per-view a rating of 8/10. Tune into Impact Wrestling on Spike TV on Thursday at 8/7c.
