By Carson Koschik TNA is putting on their first PPV of the year (and only one for a while) this Sunday, and although there is little build-up to the event, there are a few matches which have the potential to be awesome. Here are my predictions and wants for each match, plus the odds for who is going to win. Joseph Parks vs. Devon Odds: Surprisingly, Joseph Parks is the odds on favorite to win this one. Maybe it's because every single match the Aces and Eights are a part of they lose. Want: I've never been a fan of the whole Aces and Eights storyline. It's been going for way too long, they never have once looked strong, and the whole thing is very repetitive. So, I want any step that will shorten the length of the storyline to happen, and one of those would be the amazingly entertaining Joseph Parks getting a win over Devon. Obviously it would be due to interference, and maybe a Black Hole Slam by Parks's missing brother would secure him a victory (yes, I know they are the same person, but it's already happened before). Prediction: This match is going to end is disqualification. About half way through what will most likely be somewhat of a comedic match, the Aces and Eights will decide to make an impact by breaking Joseph Parks's bones with a hammer. The ol' biker gang will come out and attack Parks, and just before they are about to break his arm, the whole TNA cavalry will come out to save the eccentric lawyer. Sting vs. D.O.C. Odds: As I stated previously, the Aces and Eights don't win anything, and Sting kinda does. So, Sting definitely has the odds in his favor in this match. Want: This may be sending somewhat of a mixed message since I said that I don't like the Aces and Eights, but I really like Luke Gallows. I also know that I said I want this angle to stop, but I also really want Gallows to win, just to shake things up a bit. Prediction: Sting wins. World is shocked. James Storm vs. Christopher Daniels
Odds: James Storm may be floating in TNA limbo right now, but he his momentum is in no way slowing down, and his victory over Kazarian makes him the favorite going into this match. Want: I don't like James Storm. Maybe this is just my liberal bias, but I don't like the whole "I drink beer and hunt a lot and wear a cowboy hat" gimmick (Stone Cold is an exception). So, I would like for one half of my favorite TNA tag team Christopher Daniels to score a victory. Prediction: James Storm pins Daniels after a short, albeit entertaining match. Mickie James vs. Miss Tessmacher vs. ODB vs. Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim Odds: Miss Tessmacher has the most momentum going in, making her the favorite to win this gauntlet match. Want: I like Tessmacher, but her whole lame dancing thing on Thursday kind of soured her to me, so I would like my second favorite Knockout in the match, ODB to win this. Her unconventional look and explosive move-set would mix great with Tara in the future. Prediction: Velvet Sky just returned, so of course they are going to put her in the title scene. Velvet Sky is going to win after entering last and defeating Gail Kim. Christian York vs. Kenny King Odds: These two actually have the same odds for winning this match, due to the fact that they have both been pretty much on the same path on the last few weeks. Want: Christian York looks like Jack Sparrow gave up his pirate life to pursue a career in hairdressing. I think he looks stupid. Kenny King was a part of the All Night Express. Of course I'm gonna choose Kenny. Prediction: Kenny King has been hinting at a feud with RVD for a while, and has been chasing the X Division Championship for a while now. There is no way York is winning this one. Kenny wins after a Royal Flush and goes on to face RVD later on. Rob Van Dam (c) vs. Kenny King Odds: I may be getting ahead of myself by saying it's going to be Kenny King, but honestly, it will. And if (it will) is, Kenny King is going to have the odds in his favor. Want: I'm an RVD fan, I really am. But he's a veteran of the business and King is a talented up and comer. As a veteran, it should be his duty to put over new talent. That's why I want Kenny King to win the X Division Championship. Prediction: RVD misses a Five Star Frog Splash, get caught with a Royal Flush and loses the X Division Championship to Kenny King. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Joey Ryan & Matt Morgan Odds: The current tag team champions have a lot of momentum on their side, and the odds definitely point to them retaining. Want: I don't like Hernandez, and although I appreciate Chavo's in-ring ability, I think he's kind of a prick. So, I would really like the sleazy Joey Ryan and the Blueprint Matt Morgan to win the belts here, even it doesn't really make sense as to why they should. Prediction: Guerrero and Hernandez retain after Ryan messes up. Morgan hits Ryan with the Big Boot signaling the end of their alliance. Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Austin Aries & Bobby Roode Odds: Jeff Hardy just won the belt, as he's also Jeff Hardy, the closest thing TNA has to John Cena right now. The odds will always be in his favor. Want: I love Austin Aries and Bobby Roode together, and while it may seem like somewhat of a rip-off of WWE if it were to happen, I would like to see the two as a tag team together. That's why for the first time in my life, I want Jeff Hardy to win. Prediction: Jeff Hardy wins after hitting a Swanton Bomb on both men at the same time. Disagree?
