World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy Brawled with The DCC

While "Broken" Matt Hardy is recovering from amnesia, I'm glad Jeff has something worthwhile to do in the form of a feud with The DCC. Jeff has never been the best talker, but this was a straightforward promo with him calling out The DCC and narrowly escaping an attack at the hands of the group, building intrigue for the night's main event with which member of The DCC Jeff would face.

X-Division Champion DJ Z, Mandrews & Braxton Sutter def. Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett & Marshe Rockett and Rockstar Spud & Decay in a Triple Threat Elimination Team X Gold Match

The rules of this match were that every individual from each team had to be eliminated, not just one member. Thus, although there were a few sweet spots mixed in, most of the eliminations were completely forgettable because they happened so quickly. Not to mention Abyss looked like an idiot for blatantly getting himself disqualified in plain view of the referee. The only real intriguing aspect of the match was how DJ Z promised whoever survived from his team a future title shot, so him vs. Sutter should be happening at some point.

Maria Hosted a Thanksgiving Feast with Mike Bennett, Laurel Van Ness, Braxton Sutter and Allie

Maria may not be the greatest wrestler, but she is so damn good at being a bully. Van Ness has also settled into her role nicely, and seeing her mistreat Allie made me hate her that much more. Per usual, Allie was absolutely beloved by the crowd, and while Bennett didn't do much here, I'm sure Sutter eventually standing up for Allie will lead to a feud between them.

Ethan Carter III def. Eli Drake in a World Title Shot vs. Voice Match

I've been really digging this feud since it started and their in-ring chemistry proved to be just as excellent as their chemistry on the mic. What I loved most about this match was how credible Drake looked in defeat. I figured EC3 winning was fairly obvious, but there were definitely points where I was doubting myself, especially after Drake kicked out of EC3's finisher. Having him talk during the match was a nice touch considering he can now no longer talk for the remainder of the year.

Mahabali Shera and Al Snow def. The Tribunal by Disqualification

For as little as I care about this feud, it blows my mind that it has been receiving consistent television time each week. Shera already feuded with The Tribunal earlier this year, and Snow should not be an active member of the roster in 2016. The match was fine enough, but the disqualification finish left the door open for future rematches, which I am not looking forward to.

Robbie E def. Grado in a Turkey Suit Challenge

I was thinking throughout the show, "Thank the lord they aren't bringing back that dumb turkey suit match this year!"... and then they brought it back. So close, dammit. And I envisioned them doing it with these exact two guys, too. Both are comedy characters, and Grado can be entertaining at times, but Robbie is a total goof. In fact, if my memory serves me correctly, he's been involved in quite a few of these matches over the years.

Bram def. World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy in a No Disqualification Match

As one could expect, The DCC constantly interfered in this match, so it was more of a Handicap match than it was a true singles match. Nevertheless, the action was enjoyable and it was hardcore similar to last week's main event. I don't remember Eddie Edwards being kayfabe injured in that match, so why didn't he come to the aid of Hardy here? And why wasn't he on this show at all? That was my biggest question, but anyway, I was glad they put the new heel faction over strong their second week in.

Overall Show

Not much of note happened on this show at all, which wasn't too surprising considering this was a holiday episode after all. The main event was a highlight, but it was essentially the same thing we saw last week. The only two things worth ditching your Thanksgiving dinner and desserts for include EC3 vs. Drake and the various "Broken" Matt Hardy segments where he attempts to deal with his amnesia. Hilarious stuff. Happy Thanksgiving, folks!
