WrestleMania 29 has been shaping up to be what could be the most unpredictable WrestleMania yet. I’ll be the first to admit, that I wasn’t very excited but in recent weeks the build has been intense and has made many fans including myself ecstatic. So far, ten matches have been announced for the ‘Show of shows’, with championships, streaks, and even careers on the line. This year will feature the debuts of several superstars including Big E Langston, Ryback, Fandango, and The Shield, which can make or break their futures depending on what happens.

Out of the ten matches set in stone, four are in the running to steal the show and become the most memorable of the night. The four candidates are:

* The Rock vs John Cena II for the WWE Championship

* CM Punk vs The Undertaker

* Chris Jericho vs Fandango

* Ryback vs Mark Henry

The Rock vs. John Cena II for the WWE Championship:

This match is a rematch from last year’s event, only this time Cena seeks redemption and the WWE Championship. The build for this match hasn’t been as intense compared to a year ago, but is definitely one of the most anticipated rematches of all time. Many skeptics were angered by the fact that “Once In a Lifetime” would occur again, but most have changed their minds in recent weeks. This match won’t be a “pure wrestling classic”, but will probably elicit the most energy and excitement out of the Met Life crowd. The crowd will definitely be split for this match, but they know that they’re in for a good one. Last year’s match proves that once it seems like it’s over, both men come back up and give it some more. It is still uncertain as to who will walk out of New Jersey with the championship, but one thing is for certain, the match will be something that will have people talking once it has concluded. Can Cena and The Rock top their prior bout?

CM Punk vs. The Undertaker:

The Undertaker holds the greatest streak in sports entertainment, standing at an awe-inspiring 20-0. This streak lays in question as he faces the longest-reigning WWE Champion of the last quarter century, CM Punk. This may be called “The Internet’s Match” since it has created the most buzz on Twitter and other forms of social media. Punk’s disrespectful antics towards

Taker, have become a highly regarded topic as of late. Expect this match to be back and forth action, leaving doubts about whether or not the streak will come to a shocking halt. Both, Taker and Punk pull out all the stops to really make a match special as we’ve seen in the past. These two men bring out the best of any competitor they step in the ring with, and WrestleMania will be no different.

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango:

Justin Roberts better pronounce Fandango’s name correctly on April 7th, or we may not even witness this match! The dancing superstar makes his long awaited debut against a man who has had countless classics at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Recently, Fandango has displayed that he is very comfortable on the microphone and even in the ring, as he dropped a huge top rope leg drop on Y2J. Fandango certainly looks to make a huge impact on his debut match, and what better way to do it than a match at the biggest show of the year against one of the best wrestlers of our time. Win or loss, Fandango can cement his name by creating a memorable moment during this match.

Ryback vs. Mark Henry:

This is personally my dark horse for this event. Ryback was originally a part of the 6-man tag team match featuring Randy Orton, Sheamus, and himself going against The Shield, but that was nixed due to his fluctuating rivalry with Mark Henry. Ryback vs. Henry, has the potential to be an instant classic. Ryback makes his WrestleMania debut against the World’s Strongest Man in a match that will be based on pure aggression and power. Mark Henry has not been very successful at WrestleMania and looks to induct the ruthless Ryback into the Hall of Pain. This match might bring very awesome spots that will leave out jaws on the floor. Many are curious to see if Ryback can actually hit his finisher, The Shellshock, on Mark Henry.

WrestleMania 29 definitely has different feel from WrestleMania 28, but still leaves fans in excitement for the event. The match card has the star power and variety to make the show a success in purchases. Although some people claim that the outcomes of the matches are predictable, nothing is certain as to what will happen throughout the matches. April 7, 2013 will be a date that will forever echo throughout WWE history.
