Legado del Fantasma (Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde) def. Ever-Rise
Legado del Fantasma continue to be my favorite part about this show and the rest of the Cruiserweight division. They've been made to look super strong so far and have had some fun matches to boot. This was a pretty straightforward squash win for them with Ever-Rise looking good in defeat, and while I've been happy with Ever-Rise appearing almost every week on 205 Live in recent months, they have to win some important matches eventually.
Ariya Daivari def. Jake Atlas
To be honest, I completely forgot Daivari was gone for as long as he was and I had no desire to see him return. As I've said time and time again, he just bores me to tears. To his credit, he had a better showing than usual here, but that also might have been because Atlas is excellent and carried him to a pretty good match. I hated the outcome because I'd rather see the fresh Atlas be built up instead of Daivari for the millionth time. There's nothing to be gained from that.
I liked that nothing from NXT was replayed in its entirety and 205 Live instead filled the time this week by giving the two featured matches more time. The opener was well wrestled, but we're approaching that point that Legado del Fantasma will need to start facing credible competition. As for Daivari vs. Atlas, it was a better bout than I was expecting, but Daivari being back does nothing for me.
