Cedric alexander and Gran Metalik def. Drew Gulak and Tony NeseOnce it was announced Nese and Gulak were challenging Alexander and Metalik to a rematch from last week's 205 Live, I immediately feared we were about to get 50/50 booking with the heels avenging their loss. Thankfully, that wasn't the case and the babyfaces were able to maintain their momentum with a second straight victory. The match itself was more fun than your typical WWE Cruiserweight match with the faces allowed to showcase their skills, and the crowd was into their offense. It's great Metalik has finally resurfaced on WWE TV after a long layoff and I hope he's here to stay. The Brian Kendrick Attacked Gentleman Jack GallagherThis feud has been very hit or miss so far, but it just about went off the rails when the damn clown came out to confront Gallagher. I know Vince McMahon is probably writing all of Kendrick's material for him in calling Gallagher a circus clown, but that was "sports entertainment" at its worst. Thankfully, they managed to recover with Kendrick surfacing and laying out Gallagher, challenging him to a No Disqualification match on next week's show. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville def. Akira TozawaI know most people aren't paying attention to the Cruiserweights, but Neville and Tozawa have put together a stellar series of matches against each other over the last few months. This was another exceptional encounter from them, and for a change, the crowd was invested in the awesome action. There were ton of suspenseful nearfalls throughout and I loved that the commentators exuded passion in their call of the contest. Neville barely retained the title but was then confronted by his newest challenger: Enzo Amore. This has been rumored for a while, but I simply can not buy Amore as a threat to Neville. I suppose time will tell, and at least Amore is over with the audience (the place went nuts for him here). Overall ShowA majority of the Brooklyn crowd from SmackDown Live stayed to watch 205 Live and the show benefited huge from their energy as a result, making it one of the more memorable editions in recent memory. I really enjoyed the opening tag team match, the Gallagher and Kendrick segment set up their hardcore match for next week, and the main event was off-the-charts and featured a notable 205 Live debut. I don't say this too often, but definitely make time to check out the show this week.
