![]() By Graham "GSM" Matthews Jack Gallagher def. Drew Gulak I was honestly surprised Gulak hardly received a reaction in his home state. Then again, this crowd was as quiet for this match as they were for Raw immediately afterward (205 "Live" was taped prior to Raw this week due to the Tribute to the Troops taping on Tuesday). They had a fun little match, but it definitely suffered from a lack of audience engagement. Nevertheless, Gulak was able to showcase some of his skills for a change as well. Ariya Daivari didn't get involved here, though he and Gallagher did further their feud in a backstage segment. Lince Dorado vs. Mustafa Ali Ended in a Double Count-out We have seen a bit of Dorado on Raw before, but this was the official re-debut of Ali since he was eliminated from the Cruiserweight Classic. The crowd seemed to be more engaged in this match due to the high-flying action, though I wasn't a fan of the finish. That said, Ali's post-match attack on Dorado firmly established him as a heel and I'm excited for what else he can bring to the division. ![]() T.J. Perkins def. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann (Non-title) This was a very good match and a vast improvement over their Raw encounter a few weeks back, largely due to how they were given much more time. Despite being a babyface vs. babyface bout, the crowd was behind both guys and they worked well together. Perkins winning here was definitely needed to send the message that he is a contender for the championship right now. I appreciate how WWE has spent time investing in each of their characters, along with The Brian Kendrick, ahead of the Triple Threat match at Roadblock. Overall Show I'm glad they're cycling out wrestlers each week while still focusing on the same stories. The simple format of the show so far has been a treat and is a step in the right direction for the weakened Cruiserweight division. This edition of 205 Live also benefited from being taped before Raw as opposed to after SmackDown Live, which is what I wish they would do going forward to ensure people don't leave halfway through the show or aren't as lifeless. The shorter length of this show was also a plus, so this was the best all-around episode yet in my opinion. Also, Tajiri is coming soon! Woo!
