WWE 205 Live Review - December 3, 2021

Ivy Nile def. Erica Yan

Nile is one of the NXT 2.0 prospects that I've been thoroughly impressed with thus far. Obviously, she needs a lot more seasoning and experience, but she's off to a solid start and seems to have the basics down. She also stands out from most of the other women with how amazingly athletic she is. This was a fairly standard squash match with Nile winning in a matter of minutes.

Boa def. Draco Anthony

I was happy to see the vignette air for Anthony on Tuesday's edition of NXT. He had a strong showing against Roderick Strong recently on this show, which is why I was disappointed by him losing to Boa here. I knew it was coming since Boa is now feuding with Solo Sikoa for some reason, but Boa is still the same to me despite the new face paint. Boa controlled most of the match, so it was hard for care. I thought Anthony was the wrong guy to be taking the loss.

The Creed Brothers def. Jacket Time

This was a rematch from a recent episode of NXT. There was a bad botch early on where one of the Creed Brothers almost injured Kushida, so hopefully he's okay. On that note, Creed Brothers are still a little rough around the edges, but I like what I've seen from them so far and Jacket Time are the perfect guys for them to be working with. This was a quality main event that featured a fun clash of styles. Creed Brothers keep rolling.

Overall Show

205 Live premiered five years ago this past week, and we're two days away from the Cruiserweight division likely being disbanded for good if Joe Gacy wins the NXT Cruiserweight Championship from Roderick Strong at WarGames. Sad times. As for this episode, it was at least serviceable. I was fine with Nile being showcased, but Boa vs. Anthony didn't need to happen, especially if Anthony was going to lose again before debuting on NXT TV. The main event was entertaining and featured some star power, if you can even call it that.
