Ever-Rise def. The Bollywood Boyz
Both of these teams are heel as far as I know, so the heel vs. heel dynamic didn't heighten my interest in this match any. That said, it was actually decent for as long as it lasted and I'm glad it didn't overstay its welcome. Ever-Rise are coming off their attack on Grizzled Young Veterans and Imperium on Wednesday's NXT, so it would have been silly had they lost to Bollywood Boyz. I liked how they showed more of an aggressive edge than usual here.
Curt Stallion def. Ariya Daivari
I was hoping Santos Escobar would defend his NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Stallion at TakeOver on Sunday, but with there already being five matches on the card, it doesn't look like that's going to be the case. It's more likely that it ends up happening on an upcoming episode of NXT, which is fine. Nonetheless, this was a super solid main event. Daivari typically does nothing for me, but he's had nice chemistry with Stallion lately and they put together a pretty good match.
For a show featuring The Bollywood Boyz and Ariya Daivari (two of my least favorite acts on the program currently), this was a quality show from an in-ring standpoint and it did what it needed to do in giving Stallion and Ever-Rise important momentum-building victories. I've been enjoying the shorter format the show has had lately as it's action packed, progresses storylines and keeps the filler to a minimum.
