Trick Williams def. Ikemen JiroI feel like we haven't seen a lot of Jiro recently. He's a lot of fun to watch and I thought he worked well with Williams here. Williams is a work in progress, but it's smart to be putting him in matches on a show such as 205 Live so he can improve. This was a perfectly passable albeit basic match to start off the show. Williams winning was an interesting call considering he's basically Carmelo Hayes' hype man and he's never been positioned as a competitor with credibility. Lash Legend def. Erica YanLegend has been hurt more than anyone else by there not being any NXT house shows at the moment. She has potential, but she's still super inexperienced. On the bright side, I'm grateful that her development has been relegated to 205 Live as opposed to NXT TV. She's been wrestling almost every week lately and this was one of the better showings I've seen her have. Yan sold well for her offense and this was booked more like a straightforward squash than it was a competitive contest, which was for the better. Joe Gacy def. Xyon QuinnInterestingly, upon the relaunch of NXT, Quinn was primarily featured on 205 Live. Now that his feud with Xyon Quinn is over, he's back to where he started, except he's no longer undefeated and is losing more than he's winning. I'm a bigger fan of Quinn than I am of Gacy, but Gacy needs direction as well, so the outcome didn't bother me. It was a solid main event with the two making the most of the time the had. This felt like something that could've happened on NXT, so it made for a nice main event on 205 Live instead. Overall ShowAs is typically the case, none of these matches are worth going out of your way to check out, but the increase in star power made the episode slightly notable. By "star power," I mean names you'd normally see on NXT TV and not just on 205 Live. That didn't make it must-see by any means, but the in-ring action was a bit better than usual. On a side note, it's been over a month since the Cruiserweight division was officially disbanded. When the hell are we getting a name change for this show?
