Joaquin Wilde def. Raul MendozaThis marked Wilde's second win on 205 Live, whereas he has yet to win a single match on NXT. Maybe he'd just be better off on 205 Live full-time. However, my issues with his character have not changed. He still comes across like a heel with his dumb DJ noises, and while I realize that's a part of who he is in real life, he was way more natural as a heel during his IMPACT run and simply isn't likable at all in the babyface role. At any rate, this was a fun little match between the two despite the crowd sitting on their hands for it. Danny Burch def. The Brian Kendrick by DisqualificationI enjoy Burch as a performer, but he's no miracle worker. That isn't meant to be a slight against Kendrick, but this rivalry has been a total dud so far. There wasn't anything technically wrong with it, but I was bored beyond belief and the disqualification finish was lame. Thankfully, Oney Lorcan resurfaced afterward and came to Burch's aid, which I figured was inevitable after he returned on Thursday's episode of NXT UK. Angel Garza def. Tyler BreezeGarza is fresh off his loss of the NXT Cruiserweight Championship at Worlds Collide and I'd have to assume that he'll want it back from Jordan Devlin, especially since he wasn't pinned in that Fatal 4-Way. As for this match, it was very entertaining as both Breeze and Garza are great and they had quality chemistry here. The outcome wasn't too predictable either since Garza wants his rematch for the title and Breeze had been undefeated on 205 Live up until this point. It was a worthwhile main event with a clean, decisive finish. Overall ShowStorylines are still largely nonexistent on 205 Live, but at least the in-ring action was been somewhat better on the whole in recent weeks. Burch vs. Kendrick was pretty dull for the seven or so minutes it lasted for, but Wilde vs. Mendoza and Garza vs. Breeze were both well wrestled. I maintain that 205 Live should be canceled so the Cruiserweights can appear solely appear on NXT, but it doesn't look like that's in the works right now. Next week, the new NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin will be appearing on 205 Live for the first time, so I'm interested to see how that plays out.
