The Lucha House Party def. The Singh Brothers in a Tornado Tag Team Match
This has been a fun little feud on 205 Live over the past month and a half that has allowed The Singh Brothers to showcase their skills a bit, way more than they've ever been able to before on Raw or SmackDown Live. I figured they wouldn't win here, but they had a solid showing and looked good in defeat. Meanwhile, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik own the tornado stipulation and always make it a blast. This was an enjoyable match to (presumably) blow off the feud.
Tony Nese, Oney Lorcan and Gentleman Jack Gallagher def. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak, Ariya Daivari and Mike Kanellis
Unless it's Lucha House Party, it's rare we see six-man tag team matches on 205 Live these days, so I really liked how this furthered three different feuds in effective fashion and delivered entertaining in-ring action. All six stars worked well with each other and made the most of the time they had. Even the post-match brawling was exciting and closed the show on a high note.
Leave it to 205 Live to deliver an excellent show with two above-average matches, even with the general manager away for week on his honeymoon. Raw and SmackDown may be in the process of getting overhauled creatively, but make no mistake about it: 205 Live has been quality weekly TV for a while now and should not be slept on. This was another excellent episode where the 45 minutes flew by per usual.
