Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza) def. Tony Nese and Isiah "Swerve" Scott
Nese and Scott have been trying out this tag team thing for a few weeks now and I'm glad it hasn't already resulted in one turning on the other. Granted, I don't know what the ultimate endgame is, but it's been entertaining in the meantime, especially for matches such as this one. As for Legado del Fantasma, they've been firing on all cylinders since hitting the scene and this was another quality contest from them. It would've been too soon for them to lose and thus I'm glad they reigned supreme. I liked that Scott wasn't pinned coming off his win over Jake Atlas on Wednesday's NXT and thus he doesn't lose much from this.
The show opened with a promo from Ariya Daivari filmed remotely where he announced he'll be making his return to 205 Live soon. In other words, I wouldn't blame you if you stopped watching 205 Live weekly when he does. In all seriousness, it was a one-match show this week and thankfully that one match was very well wrestled. I couldn't care less about Daivari coming back, but I appreciate that the in-ring action has been consistently been top-notch lately and that the show doesn't feel as phoned in as it did a few months ago.
