Ariya Daivari def. Noam DarIt's great to see Dar cleared for competition after he suffered an injury during a match against Mark Andrews at an NXT UK taping not too long ago. I wish he'd stay exclusive to NXT UK, because he doesn't feel nearly as special on 205 Live, but I understand him being brought in to lose to Daivari (the 205 Live roster is fairly depleted after all). This was a pretty good match with Dar scoring way offense than I was expecting, but the crowd sat on their hands for this. The Singh Brothers def. Local AthletesThe Singhs returned to 205 Live as full-time members of the brand and lost to The Lucha House Party. They've been established as enhancement talent for years, but this was a solid showcase for them and I liked the decision to have them beat a pair of local athletes. I don't know how high their ceiling is on the show since there aren't any tag team titles for them to vie for, but they're a nice addition to the Cruiserweight division, nonetheless. Akira Tozawa def. Mike Kanellis in a No Disqualification MatchI think Tozawa has competed in more No Disqualification/No Holds Barred matches than anyone else in the history of 205 Live. Meanwhile, The Brian Kendrick and Maria Kanellis were barred from ringside. Kanellis hasn't blown me away since his arrival on the show, but this was probably his best outing in WWE to date. He had a strong showing and the stipulation helped make this as exciting as it was. Kudos to both men for putting forth an excellent effort, but I have no clue where either of them go from here. That finishing sequence was awesome, though. Overall ShowThis was an above-average edition of 205 Live with everything holding my interest, the main event delivering, Daivari continuing to build momentum ahead of his shot at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at Money in the Bank, and The Singh Brothers picking up their first win on the brand in two and a half years. As is usually the case, next week's show emanating from England will feature talent from NXT UK. Tony Nese vs. Ligero as well as Gentleman Jack Gallagher vs. James Drake vs. Mark Andrews vs. Humberto Carrillo in a Fatal 4-Way match were announced for the episode.
