WWE 205 Live Review - November 26, 2021

Elektra Lopez def. Valentina Feroz

I've mentioned before that I like Lopez and her potential but wasn't a fan of her being pushed so quickly while she's still green. That said, 205 Live is the perfect place for her to hone her skills and improve. Feroz is a work in progress as well, but this was a perfectly passable match while it lasted. It sure seems like she's being positioned as the new leader of Legado del Fantasma with Santos Escobar taking a backseat, but I hope not.

Amari Miller def. Erica Yan

​Unlike in the opener, neither of these women are established, so it was more a matter of giving them experience. I think Miller would really benefit from getting the video package treatment or some mic time because currently it feels like she's a happy-go-lucky babyface for no reason and it's difficult to care about her. Like most of Miller's matches, this was a fairly basic bout that was wisely kept on the shorter side.

Solo Sikoa def. Andre Chase

​This Andre Chase crap continues to be downright dumb. Props to him for committing to the character, but he comes off like the ultimate one-dimensional enhancement talent. If that's the point, then mission accomplished, but if they intend to push the guy, I don't see it working out. Sikoa is the exact opposite, however. He's someone who I feel has a ton of upside and is already off to a strong start in NXT 2.0. This was a bit more competitive than I would've liked, but it was a solid main event and Sikoa got to rack up another win.

Overall Show

​This show was par-for-the-course as far as what we've come to expect from 205 Live as of late. There were two mediocre matches in the middle followed by a decent main event featuring two regulars from NXT. It was fine. 205 Live is far from must-see at this point in time, but as a proving ground for the up-and-coming talent, it serves its purpose. The matches aren't supposed to be barn burners; rather, they're supposed to help the newcomers grow and get better. It's sad to think about what the show has become compared to when it debuted almost exactly five years ago this coming week, but that's just the reality of it.
