WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore Introduced the WWE United Kingdom Championship DivisionWell, this was a weird way to introduce the talent that competed in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament to the WWE Universe. We hadn't seen most of these guys since the actual tourney back in January. Were Wolfgang and Trent Seven busy or something (I know Pete Dunne was wrestling at a Raw house show elsewhere)? Enzo didn't do a stellar job of getting these guys over by running down all of them, though Bate stood out from the rest of the pack and laid out Enzo which set up their match for later in the night. Kalisto def. Gentleman Jack GallagherGallagher was obviously going to be favored by his home country fans, so he was smart to turn them against him with his pre-match promo. He and Kalisto worked well together and had a good match, but the crowd didn't seem to care. It was supposed to be a momentum booster for Kalisto before his Cruiserweight Championship match at Survivor Series, but he just feels dead at the moment. The finish was cool I thought, but it didn't receive much of a reaction. Mark Andrews and Cedric Alexander def. Joseph Conners and James DrakeI'm familiar with Andrews and Conners, but who the hell is James Drake? I realize the pre-match video package shone some light on him and his background, but I don't know anything about him. As for the match, it was well-wrestled and I really liked the team of Andrews and Alexander. Their high-flying and exciting offense made this an enjoyable affair, even if the fans in attendance were largely quiet for it. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore def. Tyler Bate (Non-title)After Enzo lost to Dunne on Raw, I guess it was only academic that the Cruiserweight Champion picked up a win here, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Lest we forget, Bate took part in what I still think is the best WWE match this year at TakeOver: Chicago with Dunne, yet he couldn't get the job done against Enzo? He was dominated by the champ and made to look like a chump, so that was a disappointing debut for such a promising young star. Overall ShowThis entire edition of 205 Live revolved around the U.K. wrestlers, which was certainly a breath of fresh air, but it surprisingly wasn't as great of a show that I originally expected. The main event was pretty much a dud, and while the other two matches were entertaining, the crowd didn't seem all that invested in anything on this episode, despite it emanating from England. Apparently all that is associated with 205 Live is doomed to fall flat, or at least that was my biggest takeaway.
