Sarray def. Amari MillerI feel like we haven't seen a whole lot of Sarray on NXT TV lately, though I guess she was involved in that six-woman tag team match against Toxic Attraction last month. She's been largely directionless since debuting in NXT earlier this year, but appearing on 205 Live is better than not appearing at all. Miller has been getting a lot of love on 205 Live lately, but given how green she still is, it absolutely would have been the wrong call for her to win here. This was a serviceable match but way too short to be anything out of the ordinary. The Creed Brothers def. Demetri Jackson and Andrew LockhartThe Creed Brothers and the rest of Diamond Mine are among the few acts I've been really digging in NXT 2.0. They have a sense of legitimacy about them and their matches are always hard-hitting. One of them called out MSK during the match, though I'm not sure if that was supposed to hint at them challenging for the NXT Tag Team Championship any time soon or if that was simply an off-the-cuff remark he made. I'd argue they aren't ready for that yet, but they're definitely improving. Their squashes are a blast to watch. Grayson Waller def. Trey BaxterBaxter hasn't had a lot of luck on NXT lately and the commentators have acknowledged that, so his losses are clearly leading somewhere. He gets far more chances to shine on 205 Live compared to NXT TV, but Waller was the more impressive of the two in this match. This could have lasted longer (hence why the three-match format doesn't work for a 30-minute show), but for the time they were allotted, this was an enjoyable affair. Overall ShowThe three-match format has been more of a hindrance than a help for this show since it started a month or two ago. They're using 205 Live as an additional platform for NXT talent to give them experience, basically their version of Dark or Main Event. Baxter vs. Waller was obviously the best bout on this episode, but it wasn't amazing enough to warrant you going out of your watch to check it out. This was a decent albeit forgettable show.
