Sheamus def. The Miz
They worked a well wrestled match that received great time, but the live crowd didn't seem to be invested in the action at all, and it's hard to blame them. It's partially due to the fact the match had a very slow pace early on and also partially due to the fact that neither of these guys mean anything at the moment. I realize the purpose of this match was to hype their participation in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and while it was a good match, we've seen better on Main Event and from both Miz and Sheamus.
Tamina Snuka def. Nikki Bella
The on-going angle with Tamina and AJ has been strange in recent weeks. They've teased tension on multiple occasions, including after this match, but then are back on the same page as of this Monday's Raw. Well, which is it? Sadly, I see Tamina as a top contender to win the Divas Championship on Sunday given her win here, and I say "sadly" because I have no desire to see her as a face. This match was fine for what it was and it thankfully didn't overstay its welcome, but the focus was mostly AJ and Tamina.
With WrestleMania 30 only a few days away, it was obvious that this show wasn't going to be taken seriously, and it wasn't for the most part, as it mostly consisted of video packages for 'Mania matches and Raw recaps. However, some of those recaps were worth going back to watch and the two matches on this show were decent to good and served a purpose, so this show was effective in pushing toward WrestleMania even if it wasn't must-see.
