By Graham "GSM" Matthews Los Matadores vs. 3MB Went to a No Contest Not only have we seen the match countless times in the past, but it never serves any purpose. This match was more meaningless than usual given the involvement of Hornswoggle and El Toritro and how their brawling in the ring somehow led to the match being called by the referee. I guess the upside is that we didn't have to sit through yet another match between these two teams, but I couldn't care less about a possible feud between two of the WWE's biggest jokes. Does the younger audience even find this remotely entertaining? Bad News Barrett def. Sin Cara It's nice to see Barrett garner good reactions from live crowds despite being a heel, but it will be interesting to see if this continues in other future cities. The match was a complete squash that was designed to put Barrett over. Sin Cara scored some offense, but that was about it. There's nothing for him to do at the moment anyway, so I don't mind him being used as an enhancement talent. I'm very glad to see Barrett back in the ring and here's hoping his involvement in the Intercontinental Championship tournament will only boost his profile. Tamina Snuka Won a No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal for the Divas Championship It was your typical Divas battle royal that lasted only a few minutes with the eliminations occurring quickly. It wasn't as bad or as big of a train wreck that I thought it would be, but the live crowd sat on their hands the entire as one would expect them to. In other words, the match was relatively painless and served the purpose of establishing Tamina as the new No. 1 contender to the title. AJ Lee has reportedly asked for time off, so Tamina challenging for the strap is the next best thing. It leaves fans looking forward to AJ vs. Paige when the match eventually comes to fruition. Big Show def. Jack Swagger Swagger was dominant over Show for a brief period of time, but otherwise it was obviously from the start who was winning here. Show isn't doing anything of note right now, so why not give Swagger the cheap victory? He's in a feud with Cesaro after all (or so it seemed), so constant losses won't help his credibility. I had heard a masked Kane attacked Show afterward, but it apparently happened after the show went off the air, which is disappointing. I'm not saying I want to see them feud or anything, but I would have liked to see Kane with his mask back on. Overall Show WWE Main Event has had a strong streak of enjoyable editions in the last month or so, but this show was not one of them. They advertised Show vs. Swagger in advance, but not even that match provided enough incentive for viewers to tune in. The rest of the show was rather mediocre and didn't help matters, so it's probably best if you skip watching Main Event this week.
