The Shield def. The Wyatt Family

The match was rather slow paced early on and I was afraid this match would pale in comparison to their prior two matches against each other, but they definitely delivered down the stretch. All six competitors were able to shine at one point or another and the crazy amount of nearfalls and finishers executed was pure insanity. While they received great time, I wanted to see them go even longer due to their awesome chemistry together. Dean Ambrose pinning Erick Rowan to pick up the victory for his team was smart booking and I'm glad The Shield finally got won over The Wyatt Family. Bray Wyatt wasn't pinned, so he doesn't lose anything from the loss. The post-match promo from The Shield was very well done and built up their feud with The Authority well. The Shield as babyfaces have money written all of them.

Jack Swagger def. Dolph Ziggler

Think about this: One year ago from this show, Ziggler cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the World Heavyweight Championship. And look where he is now. Unreal. Swagger is talented and all, but by no means should he be pushed over Ziggler. I understand they want to build him up for his feud with Cesaro, but still. Ziggler was on something of a winning streak going into WrestleMania, so this felt like a step backward. The match was good while it lasted, but there's not much that can be done in only four minutes.

Alexander Rusev def. Sin Cara

Rusev looked impressive in his debut on this week's Raw, and this was much of the same. The only difference is that this match was only under a minute long. Heck, I think their entrances were longer than the match was. Sin Cara hasn't meant anything in ages anyway, so he's perfect for this enhancement talent role. It's going to take time before Rusev really starts garnering major heel heat, but with Lana at his side, he could be a force to be reckoned with.

Overall Show

It seems that Main Event has become much more enjoyable now that it's on the WWE Network. I thought it was only a case of them being on the road to WrestleMania, but apparently not, as this show was a fun one all things considered. Definitely go out of your way to watch the opening match, Ziggler vs. Swagger was decent and Rusev vs. Cara served its purpose in getting Rusev over strong. If WWE can dish out matches such as Wyatt Family vs. Shield on Main Event, then I'm excited to see what else they dish out in weeks to come.
