Bianca Belair def. Billie Kay
Belair has been a mainstay on Main Event for months and it appears The IIconics are approaching that territory as well with how frequently they've been on the show lately. I like Peyton Royce, but Kay is abysmal in the ring. Thankfully, Belair made this bearable for the six minutes it lasted for, even though it felt like it lasted a lot longer. Belair managed to secure the victory despite having the odds stacked her and that's all I care about.
Murphy def. Humberto Carrillo
These guys had a Main Event match against each other not too long ago and I remember feeling the same way about it that I did about this encounter in that it was well wrestled but didn't reach that next gear. It just came across as lifeless to me despite being a quality contest. Murphy's roll resumes with another win while Carrillo continues to flounder now that his biggest support Paul Heyman is no longer the Executive Director of Raw.
I appreciated that both bouts received a decent amount of time this week, but as previously mentioned, I had no desire to see Kay vs. Belair last longer than a few minutes. Murphy vs. Carrillo was a better match and the action was enjoyable at certain points, but it was ultimately underwhelming. This wasn't an edition of Main Event I'd recommend going out of your way to see, but it was still a slight improvement over other recent episodes.
