Rhyno def. Curt Hawkins
This was a Main Event match at the highest degree, and by that I mean, it was exactly the type of match you would expect to see on this show. There wasn't anything technically wrong with it, but it was a basic performance from two undercard acts that aren't going anywhere any time soon. By the way, it's been months and I still have no idea why Rhyno has completely ditched using the Gore as his finisher. Is it the latest move to be banned?
Gran Metalik and Akira Tozawa def. The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher
All four of these men have been regulars on Main Event in recent weeks, so I was hardly surprised by the competitors in this match other than how Tozawa teamed with Metalik instead of Kalisto (an alliance that has been teased on 205 Live lately). Nevertheless, this was a fun little matchup while it lasted that could have benefited from more time. The finishing sequence was enjoyable, though.
Most editions of Main Event have been completely forgettable for the past number of weeks/months, and this installment was no exception. The opening contest was total throwaway. Even though it wasn't terrible, there was nothing to see there. As for the Cruiserweight tag team match, it was entertaining and actually better than some of the bouts typically held 205 Live, but it isn't worth going out of your way to see. Plus, Braun Strowman vs. Kane from Raw replayed in its entirety? Skip this show.
