The Miz Hosted 'Miz TV' with Naomi
Miz, Naomi and The Usos have been telling a simple story thus far and it's easy to follow. Whether you like it or not, it's the first time a feud over the tag titles actually means something, so that's encouraging. Everyone involved has played their parts well and Naomi has been better on the mic than I initially thought she would. This was effective in building toward the Divas title match on SmackDown between Naomi and Nikki Bella.
The New Day def. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro
Was it just me or was this ten times better than the match The New Day and Gold and Stardust frmo Raw? It might have been because it wasn't as long, but the action was more enjoyable and the two teams worked well together. The live crowd here also seemed to be into The New Day act a lot more than most recent crowds. I would still like to think they'll be turning heel before long, though.
Paige def. Emma
These two have history dating back to their NXT days, so it was nice to hear the commentators touch upon that a bit. It was cool to see them get some time, even though the match wasn't nearly as meaningful as their encounter at NXT Arrival in February because... well, they have had no issues with each other as of late on WWE TV. While it was a random match, it was well wrestled and the two ladies made the most of the time they were allotted.
Kane def. Erick Rowan
I appreciated the fact that this was a fresh match, but that's probably the only positive thing I can say about it. The match was fairly boring, but I guess I shouldn't have expected anything less given who the two competitors were. If that wasn't bad enough, Titus O'Neil took away from the bout with his distracting commentary. Are he and Rowan set to feud? If not, then that served no purpose. And then any good they did by Rowan when they built him up going into TLC was ruined when he lost to Kane cleanly. What a mess all around.
The main event was complete throwaway, but everything else was solid. The 'Miz TV' segment furthered the Naomi/Miz/Uso storyline, the tag team match was fun and Paige vs. Emma was a pleasant surprise even if wasn't essential to any storyline. They obviously phoned it the show before going straight into SmackDown, but at least it had its moments and wasn't completely forgettable.
