Drew Gulak Interrupted 24/7 Champion R-TruthTruth was in the midst of being interviewed by Sarah Schreiber when Gulak interrupted and tried to beat him for the 24/7 Championship. Alas, he was unsuccessful. This segment went on longer than it needed to and felt like a rerun of every other interaction these two have had over the title in recent months. I'm all for Main Event doing different stuff, but this was a complete waste of time. Truth hitting Gulak with the Attitude Adjustment was funny, though. If Truth and John Cena don't cross paths at some point, I will be very disappointed. Nikki Cross def. Lacey EvansPeyton Royce beat Cross on Main Event two weeks ago, so I liked the continuation of the storyline here. Royce and Evans clearly aren't a full-fledged team (at least not yet) and it was their dissension that led to Cross picking up the victory. Cross needed the win more and I'm glad she went over, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about this as the match itself was mediocre at best. Why aren't these women not appearing on Raw more often? Overall ShowIt's been nice getting some actual storyline-based stuff on Main Event lately, but this was definitely one of the weaker shows in recent memory. The segment with Truth and Gulak was completely pointless and accomplished nothing (which is has been par for the course for Main Event for years now so perhaps it was right where it belonged) and the Cross vs. Evans match was nothing special. All in all, it was an abysmal show that offered nothing of substance.
