The Brian Kendrick def. Mustafa Ali
Unfortunately, there was a bad botch from Ali early on when he failed to get over the ropes, but they recovered nicely and Ali sold the head injury throughout the rest of the bout. The match never really seemed to get to that next gear, which is a shame because I know they would have been capable of ripping it up had they been given more than five minutes. Hopefully we see a longer match from them soon on 205 Live where they shouldn't be as limited.
The Shining Stars def. Darren Young and Sin Cara
Young and Cara had more chemistry as a tandem than Young did with Bo Dallas last week, but the match was still fairly forgettable. It was decent from an in-ring standpoint, but I couldn't blame the crowd for not caring whatsoever. If Young is on the hunt for a suitable tag team partner to beat The Shining Stars, why not reunite with his old Prime Time Players buddy Titus O'Neil? Seriously, both guys might be better off at this point.
I was very much looking forward to Kendrick vs. Ali because it had the potential to be a lot of fun, but it was instead disappointing because it was cut short. The subsequent tag team match was at least something different from what we're used to seeing on this show, but it was nothing notable at all, of course. The Raw replays are hardly worth going out of your way to see, so I'd recommend skipping out on this episode.
