By Graham "GSM" Matthews R-Truth def. Damien Sandow While it was a decent match that was given good time, we have seen it so many times in the past that the action failed to excite me. The final few minutes were well done and it is cool to see Sandow's submission maneuver finally named (the Royal Arch), but Truth's victory ruined it for me. How does he have more to offer than Sandow, who took Cena to his limit just last week on Raw? At least Xavier Woods hyped the Royal Rumble match and his participation in it on commentary. The Bella Twins def. Aksana and Alicia Fox The pre-match backstage segment was pretty weak, but I applaud their effort to at least give the match some meaning. It would have been nice of the commentators to mention Aksana's two wins over The Bella Twins from a few weeks ago, but no such luck. It was your typical Divas match that was only mere minutes long, which was probably for the better. The Bella Twins picked up the win, but what could they possibly gain from beating Fox and Aksana? Alberto Del Rio def. Sin Cara There was one point in the match where Del Rio completely ripped off Sin Cara's mask, and although the camera eventually cut away, you could clearly see that it was Hunico. Why would Del Rio even attempt to do that? This may be just nitpicking things, but I also found it stupid when Del Rio pulled down his kneepad despite the fact he was going for a superkick and not anything involving the knee. Sometimes the small things make the biggest differences. Anyway, it was a nice match for what it was, but it is hard to care when we have already seen it so many times before. Overall Show I didn't have high hopes going into this show considering R-Truth vs. Damien Sandow was advertised, but it was still a throwaway episode. The opening and closing matches have been done a million times before, and the Divas tag match was pure filler. They also had to resort to multiple video packages in order to kill time, which was pathetic. One would think they would have used this time wisely to do a better job of hyping the Royal Rumble on Sunday, but apparently not.
