Goldust def. Curt Hawkins
I was pretty surprised Hawkins and Goldust weren't a part of Raw 25 at all and were instead relegated to the Main Event taping. It would have been cool to see Goldust interact with Terri Runnels and Hawkins wrestle a quick match against The Brooklyn Brawler, but whatever. As a match, this was entertaining at points, yet way too brief to be anything memorable. It also didn't help that it felt like it ended out of nowhere.
Gran Metalik and Kalisto def. TJP and Gentleman Jack Gallagher
It was sad to see virtually nobody in the building care about this match. It was well-wrestled and all, but as my buddy John and I were discussing during the bout, nothing they do is any different from the rest of the roster. Then again, that has been the case since the dawn of the division, so that was nothing new. TJP and Metalik have been feuding in recent weeks on 205 Live, so if nothing else, at least they furthered their feud through this matchup.
It was funny hearing people in back of me wondering where Main Event even aired, completely forgetting it was still running on Hulu Plus. At any rate, this was a standard edition of Main Event with two totally forgettable matches. There wasn't anything terribly wrong with either of them, but the Brooklyn crowd sat on their hands for both bouts, and that's saying something because we were a hot bunch on Monday night.
