Mickie James def. Emma
These are two of the best women's wrestlers in the entire company at the moment, yet we rarely see them on Raw and I'd argue they are both criminally under-utilized at the moment. If nothing else, they were able to have a good match here on Main Event where the crowd was more behind James than most crowds have been this year. I'd love to see this become a full-fledged program on Raw, but it looks like Emma still has unfinished business with her former tag team partner Dana Brooke.
TJP def. Lince Dorado
Say what you will about the Cruiserweight division and how it's a dead end for some talents, but 205 Live is doing a real solid job with this ongoing story between Rich Swann and TJP and Swann wanting to bring the TJP of old back. The commentators touched on that here and the match itself was well-wrestled. It wasn't anything too memorable, but it was fun while it lasted and TJP scored the victory as he should have.
TJP vs. Dorado has been done a handful of times in the past, and I'm sure most of those encounters have happened on Main Event, but their latest encounter on this show was nice. James vs. Emma, on the other hand, was the match really worth watching for in my opinion. They might not have contested a classic, but it was a chance to see them showcase their skills for a change. Personally, I enjoyed parts of Raw this week, so the Raw recaps aren't too terrible to sit through, either.
