Christian secures Fandango in a headlock.

Christian def. Fandango
While it may not have been a great match, it was certainly a good one. They work well together and it felt fresh, too, since they had yet to clash in singles competition until now. I'm fine with Fandango losing given the fact he had a nice showing against Christian and lost via a roll-up. The match needed more time to stand out more and never felt like it got out of first gear. Regardless, this was a solid start to the show.
Layla and Natalya def. Alicia Fox and Aksana
After the excellent matches Kaitlyn and AJ Lee recently had on pay-per-view, this Divas tag team match certainly paled in comparison. It wasn't tremendously terrible, but it was rather dull and didn't seem to serve much of a purpose. The bout lasted five minutes, which isn't good or bad, but it was definitely a forgettable contest to say the least. There's AJ and Kaitlyn, and then rest of the Divas division feels like complete filler.
Justin Gabriel vs. Heath Slater Ended in a No Contest
I'll start off by saying that I'm not a fan of Justin Gabriel's new entrance music. Sure, his old theme song sounded generic, but I found it to be more catchy. Also, what was up with the wings Gabriel wore to the ring? That was rather odd. Anyway, the match was fine for what it was before the interruption of The Wyatt Family. Gabriel and Slater have faced each other countless times in the past, so this bout wasn't anything out of the ordinary. However, The Wyatt Family's attack on Gabriel and 3MB was excellent executed. I love how they attacked everyone at ringside and not just the fan favorite. Bray Wyatt's promo was equally awesome and has me intrigued for what role Kane will play in all of this.
Aside from the exciting ending, this was a pretty throwaway edition of WWE Main Event. It wouldn't have been as bad if the last two shows weren't so good. The opening match was well wrestled, but wasn't worth going out of your way to see again. The Divas match was typical, and the Slater vs. Gabriel match was decent. If anything, go back and watch the conclusion of the episode to solely see The Wyatt Family's vicious assault on everyone in sight.
