![]() By Graham "GSM" Matthews Bo Dallas def. Zack Ryder Anyone who follows me on social media knows I almost went to the live event in Boston this past weekend, so hearing Dallas talk about his interaction with The Rock at that show made me feel even more bad that I didn't go. His pre-match promo recalling the encounter was entertaining, especially the photo of him with Rock from when he was younger. It was definitely better than the match itself, which just felt flat. They put together a passable match, but the crowd didn't seem to be into it other than getting behind Ryder at various points. Fandango def. Heath Slater I'm sorry but Fandango just doesn't do anything for me either as a heel or as a babyface. He's been branded as an enhancement talent for life and it's a shame because he's a hell of a wrestler in the ring. At least Slater knows his role as a "job guy" and he sold well for Slater in this match, but again, the crowd couldn't have cared less about it because both guys are so low on the totem pole that they had zero reason to invest in either of them. Luke Harper def. Jack Swagger
Harper is such an underrated wrestler, it's not even funny. He was able to showcase this skills a bit more than usual in this match and he and Swagger were given decent time, making for a very solid match on the whole. Although he's always been great, Harper has been peaking my interest more and more as of late for whatever reason. It was encouraging to see him win here, but I'd love to think WWE has bigger plans for him than this with Erick Rowan now out with an injury for the foreseeable future. Overall Show With a portion of the roster already over in Japan, it made sense that the show featured only three matches this week and not the usual four. Honestly, that was probably for the better because the hour couldn't have ended any quicker. Other than the pre-match promo, Dallas vs. Ryder was insignificant and Fandango vs. Slater was an even bigger waste of time. Harper vs. Swagger was quite good while it lasted, but nothing too special worth seeking out.
