By Graham "GSM" Matthews WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day def. The Social Outcasts (Non-title) This has been a phenomenal seven days in WWE on the whole, but I think this segment and subsequent match were the best things I've seen all week. New Day were extra hilarious here with their entertaining antics and their chemistry with The Social Outcasts is off the charts. It's a shame The Social Outcasts aren't more than glorified losers because otherwise that would be a fun feud going into Money in the Bank. I loved how they made the match more meaningful by saying Xavier Woods would get his stolen luggage back if New Day won. It was so silly that it worked wonderfully. The build to Woods hitting Big E's belly-to-belly suplex as well as the Big Ending was great and a fantastic finish to the match. Awesome stuff all around. Paige def. Summer Rae Coming off that phenomenal first 20 minutes of the show, Paige and Summer were stuck in a tough position. As a result, their match was just kind of there. Paige still has her fair share of fans, but we have no reason to invest in her. Meanwhile, it's been the same story with Summer for ages: she's a talented hand that has been largely wasted for years. This match wasn't terrible, but I honestly couldn't have cared less about it. Baron Corbin def. Jack Swagger
I really liked the connection Corbin made in his pre-match promo between Swagger and his current rival Dolph Ziggler about them both being technical wrestlers, serving as effective hype for their "technical wrestling" match next week. As for this bout, it was a boring battle between two big men, but Ziggler added to my enjoyment of the match with his commentary. Ziggler seemed more motivated than usual behind the booth, so that was refreshing. The match was only solid once they picked up the pace down the stretch. Overall Show I would be remiss if I didn't say the first portion of this show with New Day and Social Outcasts was worth going out of your way to see. It was arguably better than anything else to occur this week, sans Seth Rollins' return. Just exceptional. The women's match wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but the hour ended on a high note with the decent Corbin vs. Swagger match and feud progression with Corbin and Ziggler. Again, though, watch this show solely for that opening segment/match.
