WWE Main Event Review - November 17, 2015

The Usos def. Adam Rose and Brad Maddox

Until his appearance on The Tonight Show a few weeks back, I honestly forgot Maddox was still with WWE. I guess it was cool how it in was that same arena that he was fired as Raw general manager last year, but his pairing with Rose is random as all hell. The "pissed off emo" line from Maddox was odd and it comes across like he tries too hard to be funny, which is why his comedy falls flat more often than not. The match was nothing notable as it was mostly a showcase for The Usos as it should have been. Is it just me or is it every week that Rose has a new gimmick going on? The Bunny returned two weeks ago and hasn't been mentioned or seen since. Ugh.

Naomi def. Alicia Fox

I normally don't judge people's appearance, but I'm not digging the shaved sides of Fox's head, but hey, who am I say to say what she should look like? She continues to stick out like a sore thumb in Team Bella, though. There were some points of the match where she and Naomi worked well together and other points were it was fairly sloppy. Fox portraying the babyface in a heel vs. heel match didn't help matters, either. On an unrelated note, Sasha Banks being left off Raw each week continues to boggle my mind.

Titus O'Neil def. Heath Slater

I'm shocked this actually headlined the show. Granted, it's Main Event and not Raw, but usually they tend to close out the night with a match that is at least somewhat meaningful. This just felt like a waste of time. I enjoy O'Neil as much as the next guy, but this had comedy written all over it. If nothing else, the commentators acknowledged their Slater Gator past, so there was that.

Overall Show

After last week's enjoyable edition of Main Event, we were back to the status quo this week. We had the return of Brad Maddox and I honestly couldn't care less. The tag team match was forgettable, the Divas match could have been better, and O'Neil vs. Slater was Superstars fodder, so it's safe to say you aren't missing out on anything if you don't tune in to this show.
