Tamina Snuka def. Naomi
Wait, wasn't AJ Lee vs. Naomi initially announced on WWE's official website? I guess it doesn't matter much, as I doubt it would have made that big of a difference. The match mostly consisted of Tamina dominating Naomi, which made sense given Tamina's gimmick, but it was still a boring bout. Naomi hardly got any offense in before taking the loss. I am glad Tamina went over here and the win gives her team momentum going into Survivor Series, but this was nothing more than an elongated squash match. If nothing else, it received well over 10 minutes of in-ring time, which is rare for the Divas division nowadays.
Alberto Del Rio def. Santino Marella
Although I despise Santino's act at times, he is fine in small doses and was effective here. It was a decent match, but could have been The ending outcome was never in doubt, but I assume it was WWE's last attempt in getting heat on Del Rio before Survivor Series. I will once again stress that I believe that it is too little too late, but I appreciate the effort from WWE. It was a decent
Fandango def. Kofi Kingston
Same match, different week. Seriously, we have seen this match one too many times in recent months and I had no desire to see it yet again. That being said, they worked a well wrestled match that didn't mean much until the end. Honestly, The Miz was the only highlight of the match, as I was intrigued how he would explain his actions from Raw on commentary. He cost Kingston the win against Fandango and built toward their pre-show pay-per-view match in the process, so it was successful in that aspect.
I didn't expect this show to do much in terms of hyping Survivor Series (especially since WWE did a terrible job of it on Raw), but they actually managed to build toward the pre-show match with the main event. The other two matches were decent at best, yet forgettable. Nonetheless, there were no Raw Recap videos that didn't waste time (with the exception of the hype video for Randy Orton vs. Big Show), so it was a harmless hour of wrestling that flew by relatively quickly.
