By Graham "GSM" Matthews Alberto Del Rio def. Dolph Ziggler I have honestly lost track of how many times these two have crossed paths over the course of 2013, but it still amazes me that Del Rio and Ziggler continue to have great matches. Simply put, they are incapable of having a bad match together. Their chemistry is off the charts and the live crowd was very much into the action. It was a nice, clean win for Del Rio and Ziggler looked strong in defeat. The winner was never in doubt given Ziggler current status in the company, but it is shocking to think these two were fighting over the World Heavyweight Championship a few short months ago. Damien Sandow def. Santino Marella The match was mere minutes long and was only used to showcase Sandow's newfound aggressive side. Thus, this match was essentially everything I expected it to be. Santino sold well for Sandow's vicious offense and it was good to see Sandow score a rare win, but he needs an actual program to become relevant again. No, facing Ziggler in themed hardcore matches every week doesn't count. Kofi Kingston def. Fandango Was it really necessary for these two to have a rematch just one week later? They have faced off so many times in recent months that I have grown numb to their matches at this point. Granted, they worked an enjoyable contest with a few fun near-falls, but it didn't accomplish much outside of Kingston getting his win back over Fandango. Instead, I would have rather see Kingston get some mic time and talk about his current feud with The Miz. Overall Show Is it just me or has Main Event been gradually getting better in recent weeks? Don't get me wrong, it was a great show from its start in October 2012, but it fell off the map a bit coming into 2013. However, it has seemed to regain its stride as of late. Most of the matches have either been very well wrestled, have been effective, or both. This show was no exception, which was a surprise given it's a holiday week and one would think WWE wouldn't have put much effort into making it a must-see show. Be sure to go out of your way to watch Del Rio vs. Ziggler from this show, as it is definitely one of the better matches I have seen in the last few months. Have a great Thanksgiving, folks!
