Riddick Moss def. Erik
After recently losing to Bobby Lashley on Raw, it's possible that Erik will be pulling Main Event duty from now on with his partner Ivar out injured for the foreseeable future. If that is the case, that really sucks. Hey, maybe he gets sent to SmackDown in the upcoming Draft, but I'm not sure that would be any better. Losing to Riddick Moss isn't a good sign, though. The match just seemed to exist and didn't feature anything out of the ordinary for the time it lasted.
Dolph Ziggler def. Humberto Carrillo
Ziggler is officially in Main Event purgatory. It honestly took longer than I thought it would, but maybe this was just a one-off with Robert Roode now back on Raw as of this past Monday night. Either way, he had a very fun match with Carrillo here. This marked the first time they've ever gone one-on-one and it felt fresh as a result. It was a fun bout and I was glad they were given an ample amount of time to shine.
Ziggler and Erik haven't been on Main Event in some time, but my guess is that they were incorporated into the show this week due to Raw Underground having to be called off temporarily (which is where they usually are). I'm not complaining, because while Erik vs. Moss never reached that next gear, Ziggler vs. Carrillo was an enjoyable little sprint. The recaps were whatever as always.
