WWE Main Event Review - October 14, 2021

T-Bar def. Drew Gulak

T-Bar and Mace were split up in the Draft two weeks ago, yet they teamed together last week on Main Event and beat The Viking Raiders. If the new rosters don't go into effect until after Crown Jewel, why wouldn't they continue to team until then or at least come out to the ring together? It's not a major complaint, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Thus, T-Bar flew solo here, though I really wish he'll go back to being Dominik Dijackovic (or some variation of that name) and ditch the dumb face paint. This was a fairly basic bout with T-Bar on offense throughout.

John Morrison def. Angel Garza

This marked the first time these two have gone one-on-one. It wasn't a match I thought I wanted until we got it here. Garza and Humberto Carrillo are getting pushed in the tag team division at the moment, but Morrison needed the win more and I'm glad he got it. This was a very enjoyable affair while it lasted and, of course, it would have been even better with more time. Garza and Carrillo are on their way to SmackDown and should be fine, but can we please give Morrison something of note to do instead of waiting around for The Miz to return from Dancing with the Stars?

Overall Show

There wasn't a ton worth watching from Raw this week, so feel free to skip right over those replays. The two featured matches served their respective purposes. T-Bar picked up a dominant win (though he desperately needs a repackaging) while Morrison and Garza made the most of the time they had. All in all, it was a solid show. One of the benefits of the Draft is that we're bound to get at least a few fresh faces here on the show in two weeks.
