Zack Ryder def. Tyler Breeze
Both of these guys are rather directionless (and dare I say wasted) in their respective tag teams right now, but at the end of the day, they're very good wrestlers and this was an enjoyable match. This actually marked the first time in a while that Fandango accompanied Breeze to ringside after being conspicuous by his absence for a few weeks. The match wasn't anything special, but it was fun while it lasted.
American Alpha def. The Ascension
It was weird The Usos weren't anywhere to be seen here, but don't think it means that their feud with American Alpha is already over. Main roster storylines are rarely furthered, let alone acknowledged, on these second-tier programs. I was actually surprised The Ascension scored as much offense as they did, going so far as to hit their finisher on Jason Jordan at one point. I almost had a heart attack thinking they were going to win. It was a decent match and I will never complain about seeing American Alpha in action.
This tag team-centered edition of Main Event wasn't without Aiden English on commentary, and he wasn't half-bad. It looked like the idea was to tease which of these teams will be a part of the Survivor Series elimination tag team match against Raw next month, so while neither match wasn't particularly memorable, they did serve a purpose in that respect.
