The Miz and Damien Miz-dow (Damien Sandow) def. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and R-Ziggler (R-Truth)

We've already seen this match twice before in the last week. Why would we see it again, especially when it wasn't anything good? Most of the match was mediocre at best and did nothing to get me excited about the Intercontinental Championship match at Night of Champions. I was glad to see Miz score the win for his team, but that should have happened on Raw and not on Main Event. Miz and Ziggler had made the most of what they''ve been given, but the "stunt double" thing has jumped the shark and taken away from my enjoyment of this rivalry.

Brie Bella def. Cameron

Cameron is usually atrocious in the ring and I cringe while watching her matches, but Brie managed to carry her to a passable bout. It was nothing stellar, of course, but it was fine for what it was and gave Brie her win back after losing on Monday's Raw. The constant replays of her recent interactions with Nikki will probably lead to Brie interfering in the Divas Championship match come Sunday.

Seth Rollins def. Big E

The booking of Big E has been extremely strange as of late. He hasn't been on TV for the most part since the New Nation of Domination angle fell through, but the group is still being featured on house shows. Nevertheless, he worked a very good matchup with Rollins here and I was surprised how much time they ended up getting. I was slightly disappointed that no mention was made of their history in NXT, but that's nitpicking things. The ending outcome was never in doubt, but the action was enjoyable enough to make up for the match's predictability.

Overall Show

Big E vs. Rollins was a solid match, but it isn't must-see by any means and the other two bouts were fairly forgettable. It's a shame that Main Event has become incredibly inconsequential in recent weeks. Nothing has been advertised in advance in several weeks and it seems as if they once again they've lost interest in pushing the program despite its presence on the WWE Network. One can only hope that it's only temporary and they go back to making it feel relevant sooner rather than later.
