Mustafa Ali and Lince Dorado def. TJP and The Brian Kendrick
If TJP and Kendrick were going to be involved in this match and not two of the other Cruiserweight heels, why not have them face their current rivals, Rich Swann and Gentleman Jack Gallagher? That didn't seem to make much sense, but this is Main Event after all, so it's not like it matters. Regardless, this was a nice little matchup from the Cruiserweights where everyone played their roles well. The crowd wasn't electric for everything they did, but that's sadly the norm for these guys nowadays.
Elias def. Kalisto
Elias' pre-match performances have become such a great part of his act because he generates so much heat from them. He and Kalisto have had a few matches in the past, but this wasn't given enough time to be as good as it had the potential to be. The crowd was into Kalisto's offense, but just as they picked up the pace, Elias hit his finisher and it ended abruptly. Despite that, it's nice to see Elias continue to build momentum with another win.
The Raw replays covered the key highlights from Monday's show, which were great, so feel free to stick around for those if you're interested in watching them again. As for the in-ring portion for this show, the Cruiserweight tag team match was well-wrestled and a bit different from what Main Event usually features, while Elias vs. Kalisto was brief albeit fun for as long as it lasted.
