Thea Hail def. Arianna GraceIt was recently announced that after (legitimately) graduating high school, Hail would be choosing to attend... Chase University. As stupid of a storyline as that is, this NXT audience loves the hell out of this Chase U crap, so maybe this will get her more over in the long run. She definitely has great energy and isn't awful considering she's only 18-years-old, and Grace is also decent for her level of experience. This was a fairly basic bout with Hail having to fight from underneath, but they did just fine and the crowd was behind Hail throughout. Guru Raaj def. Myles BorneThe commentators talked about how Borne looks like a young Randy Orton, but I personally don't see any resemblance whatsoever. He just looks incredibly generic to me, but to his credit, he had a perfectly passable performance in this match. This was along the same lines as the opener, but the crowd cared a lot less because Raaj has been positioned as an enhancement talent up to this point. Due to that, I actually thought that Borne might win in his debut, but that was not the case. Ivy Nile def. Elektra LopezLopez was conspicuous by her absence during the segment involving Legado del Fantasma and Tony D'Angelo's crew on Tuesday's NXT, but Lopez is still a part of that storyline as Troy Donovan and Channing Lorenzo accompanied her to ringside here instead of Cruz del Toro and Joaquin Wilde. As for Nile, she recently suffered her first singles defeat at the hands of NXT UK Women's Champion Meiko Satomura on NXT UK, so this was a nice rebound win for her despite the match itself being rather mediocre. Nile continues to improve, while Lopez is still not very good. Overall ShowAll three matches were below average, but that isn't to say this was a bad show necessarily. Rather, it's what I've come to expect from Level Up. The days of getting barn burners are long gone and we're lucky if we get anything close to a great match. Level up is all about giving the guys and girls of NXT 2.0 more experience and exposure, so from that standpoint, this show served its purpose. That said, there's absolutely nothing you need to see from this episode.
