Tatum Paxley def. Dani Palmer
I had completely forgotten that Paxley had turned on Palmer during a tag team match a month or two ago. I realize Level Up doesn't have regular storylines, but what was preventing this bout from being booked sooner? Even stranger is that this felt like your average match. Palmer would've benefited from showing some more intensity, but it was fine for what it was. It was a big week for Paxley between this and her match on Main Event against Katana Chance that aired on Thursday.
Riley Osborne def. Tavion Heights
Heights was also in action on Main Event this week against Apollo Crews. Paxley made up for her loss by beating Palmer on this show, while Heights lost for a second straight time. It hardly matters, though, as it's cool he got these opportunities to begin with. As I've said before, he's got potential and will be one to watch. They made the most of their time, worked well together and had a fun outing.
I'm curious if Paxley and Heights having matches on both Level Up and Main Event this week was intentional or a coincidence. Granted, neither are remotely ready for a main roster call-up, but they are worth investing in for NXT TV once they gain more experience and that's what this show provides them with. This was a quick and easy 20-minute edition of Level Up with two well-wrestled matches for as long as they lasted.
