WWE NXT Level Up Review - November 4, 2022

Ivy Nile def. Sol Ruca

I really wish Nile was involved in something more meaningful on NXT TV. She's improved a lot over the last year and was consistently featured at one point, but she seems to have taken a backseat in the Diamond Mine drama and has competed infrequently on Level Up. That said, I'm glad she got back on track here with a win. Ruca is very inexperienced, but her athleticism is impressive. They had a nice little match with a cool finishing sequence.

Hank Walker def. Myles Borne

This had an odd dynamic because both guys have been fan favorites thus far and neither needed to lose to the other. Walker is the one making consistent appearances on NXT at the moment, so it was safe to assume he was winning this one. There wasn't much to this match, and it was probably for the best that it was kept on the shorter side, but it was perfectly fine while it lasted.

Oro Mensah def. Xyon Quinn

Hopefully this was just a one-off for Mensah on Level Up and he won't become a regular on the show going forward. He's picked up some steam recently on NXT and that push should continue despite him failing to win the NXT North American Championship at Halloween Havoc. Quinn is the dude everybody beats nowadays, but he can obviously hold his own. This was a solid main event with the right result.

Overall Show

This was your average edition of Level Up where there wasn't anything worth seeking out from an in-ring standpoint, but the NXT regulars were spotlighted with wins in decent matches. I'd like to see more from Nile, Mensah is in the process of building momentum, and Hank has gotten over with this audience. All in all, it was an adequate episode and pretty much what I've come to expect from the program at this point.
