Indi Hartwell def. Sloane JacobsThis is the third match Hartwell has had on Level Up in recent weeks, and considering she hasn't appeared on NXT TV at all in that time, I think it's safe to say WWE is simply waiting for the right time to call her up to the main roster. They're probably waiting for the storyline involving The Miz and Dexter Lumis to reach a point where it makes sense to introduce her, but that's been dragging along lately. Nonetheless, this was essentially a short showcase for Hartwell and I appreciated that it didn't last longer than it did. Myles Borne def. Guru RaajNeither of these guys win a whole lot on this show, so if nothing else, this match guaranteed one of them would walk away the victory. Despite the babyface vs. babyface dynamic here, the crowd was solidly behind Borne and was happy when he won. There wasn't much to the match itself since both guys are still improving, but at least there wasn't anything egregiously bad about it. Sol Ruca and Fallon Henley def. Arianna Grace and Kiana JamesGrace and James were interviewed backstage earlier in the episode, but Ruca and Henley are the ones being pushed right now and thus it wasn't shocking they went over. Grace and James are developing chemistry as partners and maybe the women's tag team scene will benefit from having them around. Unfortunately, all of these women need reps and having them work with each other isn't the answer. This ended up being not very good as a result with several sloppy and awkward-looking spots. The effort was there, but they didn't fill the five minutes well. Overall ShowThis was a depressing show, and it had nothing to do with the matches. Rather, this marked the final appearance of Nigel McGuinness on WWE TV. Per reports, he was released by WWE earlier this week, which is why he won't be a part of any of the new commentary teams on Raw, SmackDown or NXT. The fact Booker T will be the new color commentator on NXT and not McGuinness is mind-boggling to me. What a loss. For what it's worth, Sudu Shah appeared on Tuesday's NXT and was replaced by Matt Camp here, so we'll see if that's a permanent move going forward. Nothing else stood out from this show, which was subpar on the whole.
