The show begins with a recap from last week of what will lead to tonight’s main event: Seth Rollins vs. Corey Graves in a Lumberjack match.
Justin Gabriel vs. Leo Kruger
Good match-up. I personally thought the pace should’ve been faster to make it more interesting, but it was decent. I was surprised to see it was not a squash match. Kruger possesses that look and attitude that could lead to him being a very devious and successful heel on the main roster.
Winner: Leo Kruger by submission
Baylee vs. Emma
This was actually a really good match! I’m pretty sure this was Baylee’s first television match. Emma has a lot of qualities that could lead her to success, as she pulled off two spectacular submissions during the match. The only complaint I have about Emma is her weird dancing tactics. Baylee had good offense and defense, as well.
Winner: Emma by submission
Yoshi Tatsu vs. Bray Wyatt
This was a complete squash match that I wasn’t fond of. I’m all for the Bray Wyatt character, but it’s the fact that he has faced Tatsu twice now! The ideal opponent for him, in my opinion, would be the NXT Champion: Big E Langston.
Winner: Bray Wyatt by pinfall
Corey Graves vs. Seth Rollins- Lumberjack Match
This match was fantastic! Very technical and intriguing. Both Rollins and Graves are outstanding performers, and the main roster will benefit from having both of them on it. I felt that the Lumberjack stipulation didn’t get used like it should have, but that was just minor disappointment.
Winner: Seth Rollins by pinfall
Overall Reaction: This week’s edition of NXT was decent for the most part. If Big E Langston is the NXT Champion, shouldn’t he make an appearance of some sorts? This is the second week in a row that the show’s main champion has not been featured! Match of the night was definitely the main event. Next week will be a little bit more exciting, as four championships will be defended in a “Clash of Champions” theme.
Next Week’s Main Event: Bo Dallas vs. Wade Barrett- Intercontinental Title Match
